  Explore the Thrill of Sailing with Ashtead’s Channel Sailing Club!

  This evening meeting is an opportunity to learn about the club's 'Try Sailing Days' later this year.  It is open to non-members and allows those interested in trying sailing to come along and learn about the club and how our on-water events work.

  Have you ever wondered what it's like to sail on the stunning south coast of England?

  The club has planned 'Try Sailing' days sails on the following 3 dates: 

  • Sat 18 May
  • Sat 22 June
  • Sat 10 August

  Come along on the 1st May to learn more about sailing with the club and how to register for an event.  Some summary information is included below.

  • The Try Sailing days are an opportunity to join us for an unforgettable one-day sailing experience aboard a seagoing yacht, guided by experienced skippers. No prior experience necessary – just come along, meet our friendly crew and skipper, and set off on an adventure around the Solent by the Isle of Wight.

  • Whether you're a complete newbie or a seasoned sailor, everyone is welcome at Channel Sailing Club. We'll brief you on what to expect, what essentials to bring along, and ensure you're fully prepared for your day at sea.

  • Based in Ashtead, Surrey, our club warmly invites you to drop by on any of our Wednesday club nights.   You will get a feel for the camaraderie of our community, and have all your questions answered.  If you have put your name down for one of the 'Try Sailing' days, we have a briefing the Wednesday before so that you know where to join your yacht and meet the other members of the crew.
